Winged Beauty

I’m definitely thinking of beauty and nature these days as the weather warms up and the days grow longer. Enjoy these pretty images and click image for source.

I love this sofa in Interior Designer Emma Carole Paradis home.

The specimens are from an exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History.

My friend Alison Sheffield a wonderful Interior Designer used Schumacher Birds and Butterfly for a client and Schumacher liked the result so much they included her design in their book: One Hundred Rooms to Know and Love.

This book needs no introduction - it is the John Derian Picture Book.

The green colorway of Fable by Hygge and West is a favorite. The Schumacher Exotic Butterfly pattern is a stunner.

Another image from the Butterfly Biodiversity exhibit at the AMNH from 2018.

Til next time friends I hope you’re keeping well. Sending love!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Recently I was thinking about the collages I pull together every Friday on Instagram and how they’re my version of a mood board - which led me to search my saved images - and low and behold look at these beauties - how I wish I had an office where I could devote wall space to boards like these. I’ve always been a person who saved images, curated bits. I am a chronic keeper of paper, postcards, ribbons, pieces of fabric, cards, trinkets. As a child I always had a bulletin board and I still do - I have cork surrounding the mirror on the inside of my bedroom closet door. I also have all manner of stuff stuck into the edges of mirror too!

Pinterest is one gigantic electronic bulletin board and while I do have a Pinterest feed, I much prefer saving images into Albums on IG. I tend to organize by color.

A bunch of random images if curated well is elevated to Art.

Do you save images that inspire you? If so where?

Til next time stay well my friends!

xoxo
