How lucky am I? I am able to travel into the Best City in the world in about an hour.

When I was writing my piece splendid day in the city  I thought about all the pretty images i've been hoarding - today I'm sharing them.

I own a copy of the New York: A Documentary Film along with the book.

The history of this city is amazing.

splendid day in the city

i am beyond blessed to be able to travel into the best city in the world within an hour. i was in New York City July 7th to enjoy the American Ballet Theater performance of Whipped Cream {from Alexi Ratmansky and Mark Ryden come a fantastical confection, a young boy overindulges at a Viennese pastry shop and falls into a delirium. To escape his doctor the boys dreams of his rescue by Princess Praline and her court, Princess Tea Flower, Prince Coffee and the marching Marzipan.} and have dinner with my sister and her daughter.

 Barclay's Capital Grove is filled with London Plane trees for sitting under or strolling through on the way to The Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center.

we went outside onto the balcony, before making our way to box #7.

after the performance we walked over to one of our favorite watering holes Center Bar.

it was a glorious day! i thank my sweet sister for orchestrating a most brilliant day!
